Terrorist hot spots has been springing up more frequently in recent times, one of the terrorist groups that seems to be taking territories and gaining strength is ISIS. 

ISIS gained global recognition in 2014, this is due to their ability to conquer large areas in Iraq and Syria. considering their origin one may think ISIS is only relevant in Asia alone but No! this group has stretched it arms over certain territories in west Africa in recent time targeting Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso. the activities of ISIS in the Sahel creates a lot of challenges for it leaders hence their reason to turn to Russia for support.  Meanwhile western forces within the region have been kicked out.
